Barbara J. Griffith, 64, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, January 19, 2007 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born August 7, 1942 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Boye B. and Clara E. “Betty” Cress Hicks. She was a member of LaBelle View Church of Christ. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Douglas W. Griffith on September 18, 1999. Surviving are two daughters Kristy Lynn (Doug) Whitman of Texas and Megan E. Griffith of the residence; grandson Justin Douglas Griffith of the residence; two sisters Kathy (Robert) Ohle of Steubenville, OH and Alice Harris of California; brother Rodney (Patty) B. Hicks of Wintersville, OH; four grandchildren Autumn, Bethany, Branden and Doug, Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. with Minister Tom Arehart officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
