Bruce E. Carpenter 48 of Toronto, OH died Thursday, October 20, 2005 at his residence of natural causes. He was born in Steubenville on May 26, 1957 a son of the late Russell T. “Russ” and Arlene Craven Carpenter. Bruce was also preceded in death by three brothers Michael L., Scott and Floyd Carpenter and a sister Oretha Huffine. Bruce was Baptist by faith. He is survived by a son Steven G. Carpenter of Toronto; Step-Mother Wanda Smith Carpenter of Steubenville; two brothers Clarence (Donna) Carpenter of Benton, IL and David Carpenter of Steubenville; Three sisters Linda Carpenter of Sparta, IL and Christine Hendrickson and Winifred Carpenter both of Steubenville; Paternal Grandmother Lucy Baker of Carrollton, OH and several nephews and nieces. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pastor Tommy Mills to officiate. Burial at Center Chapel Cemetery.
