Clara S. Skrabski, 86, of Steubenville, Ohio died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Alafia Village, Brandon, Florida. She was born October 3, 1919 in Washington, PA the daughter of the late Stanislav and Eva Mierczynski Babiarz. She was a 1937 graduate of Hickory (PA) High School. Clara was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and Episcopal Church Women; Y.W.C.A. and Kings Daughters. Preceding Clara in death was her husband Stanley J. Skrabski on June 17, 2002. Surviving are her son Thomas L. (Marcie) Skrabski of Brandon; daughter Kathleen E. (Kenneth) Mihalik of Ponchatoula, LA; grandson Kurt Mihalik; several nieces and nephews. Clara loved gardening, working at the church, being a mother and grandmother, and caring for others. Friends may call at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 284 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Marian Mazgaj officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Stephen’s Church in her memory.
