Clarence T. Downing                           Date of Death: April 18, 2002

Clarence T. Downing 80 of Bloomingdale, OH died Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Trinity West, Steubenville, OH. He was born in Brilliant, OH on November 13, 1921 a son of the late Phillip and Agnes Mitchell Downing. He was a retired welder in the Steel Works at Weirton Steel Co.; an Army veteran of WWII; member of Brentwood U.M. Church and a Mason. Clarence was preceeded in death by three brothers Roger, Norman and Robert Downing. Surviving are his wife Mary Staib Downing whom he married on April 7, 1944; two sons Tom (Sylvia) Downing of Steubenville and Jack (Janie) Downing of Bloomingdale; two daughters Karen (Bob) Polsinelli of Richmond, Ohio and Mary Ann (Frank) Rayburn of Wintersville; one sister Ruth (Robert) Wallace of Wintersville; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday 2-4 and from 6 p.m. until time of services at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Martin officiating.
