Cora Mae Wasson 84 of Richmond, OH died Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Trinity West, Steubenville, OH. She was born in Wellsburg, WV on January 10, 1918 a daughter of the late Homer and Cora Mae Wires Varian. She was a member of Wintersville U.M. Church and LaBelle Chapter 414 O.E.S. and retired from Weirton Steel Co. Tin Mill. Cora Mae was preceeded in death by her husband Walter B. Wasson on August 6, 1987 and four sisters Pauline Norris, Leota Harris, Verna Faye Thompson and Helen C. Butcher. Surviving are one sister Lorraine Blair of Rialto, CA and three brothers Homer Varian, Jr. of NC, Sidney Varian of Cambridge, OH and Glenn Varian of Steubenville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd. Wintersville, OH on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating.
