Eli E. Kvocka Date of Death: November 3, 2002


Eli E. Kvocka 82 of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, November 3,2002 at home of natural causes. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on February 17, 1920 a son of the late Milan and Kata Tepovac K vocka. Eli retired from U.S. Post Office in Steubenville and was a US Army veteran having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a P.O.W. during WWII. Eli was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church and a fifty year member of Steubenville Masonic Lodge 691 F&AM, Steubenville Shrine Club and Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville. He also held membership in Aladdin Temple of Columbus, Ohio; A.S.E.R.B.S.; D.A.V. and Jefferson County Farm Bureau. Eli was preceded in death by three brothers Dmitar, Sam and Michael Kvocka and two sisters Helen K vocka and Sophia Chuich.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years Millie Yoka Kvocka, whom he married July 22,1945; two sons Milan Z. Kvocka and Michael Kvocka of Steubenville; one daughter Georgine (Nick) Stoisolovich of Oak Forest, IL; two grandchildren Eli M. Kvocka and Sophie A. Kvocka; one sister Mildred Snyder of Steubenville; brother-in-law Sanford Yoka of Yorkville, OH; two sisters-in-law Mary Kvocka of Steubenville and Mildred Kvocka of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at noon with Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Serbian Cemetery, Steubenville, OH Pomen services 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Masonic services 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Resurrection Cemetery Fund; Valley Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military graveside servIces.
