Elwood H. Young                                         Date of Death: April 28, 2007

Elwood H. “Woody” Young, 88, of Cadiz, Ohio, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born December 7, 1918 in Dayton, OH a son of the late Edgar J. Young and the late Freda L. Carpenter Young Cochran. Woody was a member of American Legion Post #34, Cadiz, OH and a life member of VFW Post #232, Amsterdam, OH. He served in the Army during WWII. He retired from Weirton Steel as an electrician. Preceding Woody in death were his daughter Marjorie L. Parker; 1st wife Vivian Young; wife Mary Eloise Saunders; and stepfather Victor W. Cochran. Woody is survived by his son Thomas E. (Majorie) Young of Dalton, GA; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Burial at Fort Steuben where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services Tuesday 2 p.m.
