John R. Moodie, Sr., 79, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born June 10, 1927 in Steubenville a son of the late Robert and Agnes Reid Moodie. He was a retired machinist at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and an Army veteran of WWII. John was a member of Steubenville Masonic Lodge 691 F&AM; Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville; Osiris Shrine and Steubenville Elks. Preceding John in death were his wives Bertha Weegar Moodie and Peggy J. Moodie; two brothers James & Robert Moodie. John is survived by his son John R. (Cheryl) Moodie, Jr. of Wintersville; three grandchildren Sean (Sarah) Moodie of Richmond, OH, Christopher Moodie of Wintersville & Ami (Curtis) Adams of Steubenville; six great grandchildren Tonya Moodie, Haley Moodie, Spencer Adams, Christopher Moodie, Chase Moodie & Madelyn Adams; stepsons James and John Anderson; and brother Bill Moodie. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Sunday 7-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
