Leland E. Campbell 89 of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, February 17, 2003 at Trinity West, Steubenville, Ohio. He was born in Steubenville on February 25, 1913 a son of the late Frederick and Emma Diederich Campbell. He was formerly employed in sales at WSTV and as a purchaser for Jefferson Community Action Council. An avid bridge player, he was a member of Ohio Valley Duplicate Bridge Club in Steubenville and Steubenville Elks Lodge #231. Leland was a graduate of Steubenville Business College. Preceded in death by his wife Virginia Roseberry Campbell in 1989; one daughter Mary R. DiMichael and one brother Clark W. Campbell. Surviving are his daughter Elaine (David) Hutton of Bloomingdale, Ohio ; son William L. (Maureen) Campbell of Rocklin, CA; seven grandchildren and six great granddaughters. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 5-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with Rev. Paul Achhammer officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
