Richard John Bockey                          Date of Death: March 14, 2003

Richard John Bockey 88 of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, March 14, 2003 at Carriage Inn, Steubenville. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1914 a son of the late Lewis and Augusta Beckman Bockey. He was a retired motor inspector at Weirton Steel Company, Catholic by faith, member of Swinging Seniors Golf Club and Navy veteran of WWII. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marian E. Young Bockey, three brothers Irvin, Robert and Lewis, and one sister Eleanor Aborczewski. Surviving are two daughters Judith E. Stringer of Steubenville and Diane (Steve) Tomlinson of New Haven, Indiana; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services 10 a.m. Wednesday at Union Cemetery, Steubenville with Rev. Richard J. Tuttle officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
