Robert W. “Shoes” Shoemaker 64 of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, November 5, 2004 at the Palliative Care Unit. He was born in Pittsburgh on January 16, 1940 a son of the late Robert W. and Eleanor Wilcox Shoemaker. Shoes was a member of Starkdale U.P. Church; Steubenville Masonic Lodge 45; and Bricklayers Local 14. He was the owner and operator of R&S Masonary and Construction. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law William E. Brown. Surviving are his wife Mary Lee Brown Shoemaker whom he married on June 19, 1965 at Starkdale Church by Rev. Hastings; daughter Cheryl Lynn (Charles) Woodward of Richmond, Ohio; son Robert W. Shoemaker of Steubenville; four grandchildren Shanlee, Sierra, and Clay Woodward and Mason Robert Shoemaker; brother Larry J. (Nancy) Shoemaker of Wilmington, IL; mother-in-law Mary Jane Brown; brother-in-law Bill (Nancy) Brown; sister-in-law Sara Brown and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. John Zuercher officiating.
