Vance L. Ankrom 83 of Wintersville, OH died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Carriage Inn, Steubenville. He was born in Sistersville, WV on January 6, 1919 a son of the late John N. and Audrey Schaerffe Ankrom. Vance was a retired salesman for National Cigarette Service in Steubenville and a member of Steubenville Moose Lodge and River Valley Cruisers. He was preceeded in death by his brother Paul. Surviving are his friend and companion Olive Linn of Wintersville and godson Denzel Dee Linn. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Dan Darulla officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
