Walter J. “Jay” Montgomery 64 of Steubenville, OH died January 7, 2002 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. He was born in Steubenville on April 10, 1937 the son of the late James Walter Montgomery. He was a member of Wintersville Baptist Temple, he also held memberships in the Ohio Farm Bureau of Jefferson County, Night Owls of Family Campers of East Springfield, OH, Midwest Coachmen Association, Family Motor Coach Association. He was a former member of Masonic Lodge #45, Steubenville, OH; Aladdin Temple; and Osiris Shrine Scooter Patrol. He was the retired owner and operator of Montgomery Floors and Walls, Steubenville, OH. He is survived by his wife: Mary Louise Douds Montgomery, mother: Ruth Schumann Montgomery of Steubenville, son: Kenneth J. “Kenny” Montgomery of Steubenville, daughter: Merrilee Pesta and her husband Jeff of Wintersville, OH, sisters: Diane Macedonia of Steubenville, Joan Broomfield of Dearborn Heights, MI, Suzanne Peschl of Largo, FL, grandchildren: Jeffrey and Jennifer Pesta. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., where Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev.
