William L. Beekman                               Date of Death: October 26, 2006

William L. Beekman, 72, of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 26, 1934. William was a 1952 graduate of Steubenville High School and a US Army veteran. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a retired foreman in the 80 Inch Mill at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Preceding William in death were his parents Virgil and Sarah Edgar Beekman; wife Marlene Joanne Smith Beekman on December 14, 2004 and a sister Nancy Beekman. Surviving are his children Amy Beekman of Wintersville, David Beekman of Akron and Doug (Karen) Beekman of Wintersville; granddaughter Kristin Beekman and brother Edward (Judy) Beekman of Georgia. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. David Massimi officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
