Earl F. Gribben, Sr., 79, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Trinity West. He was born July 22, 1927 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late George and Lucille Rowan Gribben, Sr. Earl worked in sales and commercial construction for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a member of the Wintersville Church of the Nazarene and the NRA. Earl was preceded in death by his son-in-law Richard Jones. Surviving are his wife Betty J. Grisham Gribben; two sons Earl (Cindy) Gribben, Jr. of Fayetteville, GA and John (Sandy) Gribben of Bloomingdale, OH; daughter Connie Jones of Steubenville, OH; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers Rev. George Gribben, Jr. of Mount Vernon, OH, Robert Gribben of Florida and James Gribben of Florida and 11 nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 12 noon until time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. George Gribben, III officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in memory of Earl.
