Gene A. Bird, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Trinity West. Gene was born September 18, 1922 in Wellsburg, WV. Gene was a foreman for Cross Creek Township and a US Marine veteran. Preceding Gene in death were his parents and a grandson Ronald Dean Bird. Surviving are his companion Margaret Kellar; four sons Ron (Karen) Bird, Gene (Charlotte) Bird, Jr., Michael Bird and Brian Boyd; daughter Amanda Floding; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 noon with Pastor Charles Shoe officiating. Burial at Cross Creek Cemetery.
