Ruth K. Jarzabek, 85 of Wintersville, Ohio died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born December 25, 1921 in Steubenville, a daughter of the late James and Lillian Schroeder Knowles. She was a member of Wintersville U.M. Church; Esther Naomi Circle; U.M. Women; and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 557. Formerly employed by M & M Bank, she retired in 1987 from the Village of Wintersville as a secretary in the mayor's office and police department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Jarzabek in 1999. Survived by her son James (Linda) Jarzabek of Pickerington and daughter Patricia (Corky Tietz) Drago of Worthington; grandchildren John (Heather) Drago, Katie Drago, Michele (Joey) LaVilla, Amy (Kirk) Vollkommer and Justin (Elizabeth) Rohm; great grandchildren Lauren and Morgan LaVilla, Alyssa Bennett and Jaxson Rohm; sister Grace Clark. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd, Wintersville on Monday 4-8 p.m. where a service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating.
