Gloria May Sawka

Gloria May Sawka, 92, formerly of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Dominic Village, Houston, Texas, where she had resided since 2012. She was born May 10, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late George & Mary Slezak Ulmicher. Gloria was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were husband Edward J. Sawka on June 27, 2000; son Vincent Sawka; brother George Ulmicher and sister Sylvia Himber.

Surviving are her children Marian (Dr. Harry) Nimon and Dr. Jerome Sawka; daughter-in-law Rose Marie Sawka and five grandchildren Dr. Gloria (Scott) Fawcett, Jessica (John) Swann, Paul (Karen) Nimon, Veronica Nimon & Elizabeth Sawka.

Friends may call at Blessed Sacrament Church, 852 Main Street, Wintersville on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
