Roberta E. Atsalis

Roberta E. Atsalis, 68, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Valley Hospice Care Center North surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 19, 1947 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Davidson Steele.  Roberta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother “Yia Yia”.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.  Roberta graduated from Mingo Junction High School and retired from Macy’s after 11 years of service.  Surviving are her beloved husband of 40 years Pete Atsalis; children Doug (Mysti) Hobson of Zanesville, OH, Hope M. (Matt) Davis of Hopedale, OH and George R. Atsalis of Bloomingdale, OH and four grandchildren Kyle and Kaitlyn Hobson of Zanesville, OH and Niko and Lexa Davis of Hopedale, OH.  Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 4 – 8 p.m. and at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Steubenville on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. with Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.  Trisagion Wednesday 7:30 p.m.  Memorial donations may be directed to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 300 South 4^th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952.
