



Arthur J. D’Anniballe, age 84 of Steubenville Ohio passed away on Thursday December 16, 2010 at Lifeline, Wintersville Ohio. Arthur was born on December 2, 1926 in Steubenville, a son of the late Arthur and Rose Giammaria D’Anniballe. Art founded the Certified Public Accounting firm of D’Anniballe & Company in 1949. He was a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Jefferson County Metropolitan Housing Authority, former board member of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the M & M Bank and the Ohio Valley Savings and Loan, founding member of the Jefferson Society of the United Way of Jefferson County, Steubenville Rotary Club, Triumph of the Cross Parish, Century Club of the Franciscan University of Steubenville and current trustee of the J.C. Williams Trust. He was honored in July of 2010 by the Steubenville Big Red Boosters Club for lifetime service. He was also an Athletic Committeeman for the Ohio State University football team for many years. Art was a graduate of Steubenville High School and The Ohio State University.Other than his family and accounting firm, Art’s lifelong passion was service to his “baby” as he liked to call it, Jefferson Community College. He was an original member of the board of trustees known then as the Jefferson County Technical Institute. He served 26 years on the board, 19 years as Chairman. He helped lead the college through several changes to what is now known as Eastern Gateway Community College. He was also a founding member of the Jefferson Community College Foundation. In 2005, Art received th Outstanding Achievement in Trusteeship Award from the Ohio Association of Community Colleges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert D’Anniballe in 2005 and his son- in – law Albert Manter in 2010. Surviving are his wife of 60 years Marian Strider D’Anniballe, son Thomas ( Jeanne) D’Anniballe of Steubenville, daughter Barbara D’Anniballe Manter of Columbus, and son David (Sally ) D’Anniballe of Steubenville; sister Norma ( Eugene) Giannamore of Steubenville, sister-in-law Sandra D’Anniballe and the loves of his life, his grandchildren Julie, Alan and Neil D’Anniballe, and Ashley Manter.
