Dolores "Dee" Davis

Dolores “Dee” Davis and known by her family as “Punkin”, 58, of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Trinity West, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Steubenville, OH, on August 28, 1949, the daughter of the late David S. and Margaret Lewis Higgins.  She graduated in 1967 from Wayne High School and was an avid animal lover; employed by Jefferson Behavioral Systems Care Network, where she touched many lives and held membership in Alcoholics Anonymous where she considered them her “extended family”.  She is survived by her daughter, Shelly R. (Chad Wilkin) Davis of Bloomingdale, OH; granddaughter, Samantha Margaret Wilkin; brother, David L. (Cheryl) Higgins of Mingo Junction, OH; sisters, Francie (Walter) Gross of Bloomingdale, OH, Barbara Debby (Kenneth) Cornish of Richmond, OH, and Carolyn (Scott) Klar of Weirton, WV; best friends, Boni (Doug) Peterson of Amsterdam, OH.  At Dolores request, services will be private.  Memorial donations may be directed to any animal shelter.
