Edith Louise Amick

Edith Louise Amick, 96, of Steubenville, OH died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Trinity West. She was born September 4, 1912 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Herman and Mary Barriss Meyer.  Edith was a member of  Finley United Methodist Church and a former member of LaBelle Methodist Church.  She was a born again Christian accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Edith was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Amick, Jr. on June 29, 1995; grandson Charles Richard Amick; two brothers Frederick and Carl Meyer and sister Bertha Henry.  Surviving are two daughters Janet Amick with whom she resided and Nancy (Peter) Vein of Richmond, OH; son Richard (Joy) Amick of Wintersville, OH; four grandchildren Carrie (Burke) Sullivan, Peter (Melissa) Vein, Margaret (Eddie) Weaver and Charles (Tracy) Vein; thirteen great grandchildren and sister Betty Sinclair of Valparaiso, IN.  There will be no visitation a private service was held at the convenience of  the family.  Burial at  Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be directed to Finley United Methodist Church.
