Emmett L. Splenda

Emmett L. Splenda, 92, of Steubenville died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Trinity West.  He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on August 5, 1915 a son of the late Pasquale and Carmella Scoriugi Splenda. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. During WWII, Emmett served in the Army.  Emmett was preceded in death by his wife Helen Marracino Splenda; brothers James, Joseph and Chester Splenda; sister Mary Paterra.  He is survived by sisters Sophia Splenda and Louise Micucci; many nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road on Wednesday from 4-7p.m.  Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Rev. H. Christopher Foxhoven as celebrant.  Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
