Frances A. Vukelic

Frances A. Vukelic, 85, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away peacefully Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Valley Hospice North. She was born February 5, 1923 in East Vandergrift, PA a daughter of the late Petris and Anna Kreczkowska Chajkowski.  Frances was preceded in death by her husband Mele M. Vukelic on October 14, 2006 and brother John Chadwick. A person of faith, she was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church and Sveta Petka Kolo. Frances was a wonderful homemaker and baker. Frances was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her children Michael Vukelic of Steubenville, Nancy (Gerald) Firman of Cincinnati, Janet (Daniel) Polverini, David (Teresa) Vukelic & Steve (Cheryl) Vukelic all of Toronto, John (Colleen) Vukelic of Milwaukee, WI and Mary Ellen (Bill) Freiling of Mingo Junction; twelve grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and sister Mary Chadwick of Florida. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. On Wednesday, friends may call at Holy Resurrection Serbian Church from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.

Pomen services 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
