H. Maxine Hibbs Burns Mollohan


H. Maxine Hibbs Burns Mollohan, 83, of Wintersville died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Trinity West. She was born in Hammondsville, OH on November 14, 1926 a daughter of the late James and Susie Miller Wilbur. She was a member of Wintersville Nazarene Church, where she had taught Sunday School. Proceeded in death by her husband 1st husband William Hibbs, 2nd husband Lawrence Burns and 3rd husband Gruder Mollohan; sisters Rose Weaver, Christine Hand and Myrtle Mulholland; 5 half-sisters. Maxine is survived by her son Rev. William E. (Karan) Hibbs of Richmond, OH; daughter Cynthia Dove (Kent) Murray of Toronto, OH; sister Gertrude Riggs of Burgettstown, PA; half-sister Nora Wolf of Florida; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Maxine and her late husband William Hibbs owned and operated the former Myers Greenhouse in Bloomingdale, OH for 12 years. She was also a former member of United Brethren in Christ Church, Steubenville. Maxine wrote and enjoyed poetry and working with different crafts. She was the self-appointed caregiver for her three husbands and she had resided in Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Inverness, FL. Maxine was a devout Christian and a dedicated Nazarene. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 5-8p.m., where friends may also call on Thursday from noon until time of service at 1p.m. with Rev.
