Jack S. Sedwick, Sr.

Jack S. Sedwick, Sr., 78, of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Carriage Inn.  He was born in Wellsburg, WV on December 5, 1931 the son of the late Earl and Hazel Cross Sedwick.  He was a member of Bell Chapel U.M. Church, Wintersville American Legion Post 557, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club,  Masonic Lodge 691 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple and past president of Steubenville Shrine Club. A graduate of Steubenville High School, Jack served in the Navy during the Korean War.  Jack was a retired supervisor at the Weirton Steel B.O.P. Casting Dept.   He was also retired from North American Refractories Co. as a senior application engineer.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Hannah Sedwick. Survived by his wife Mary Ralich Sedwick, sons Jack S. (Diane) Sedwick, Jr. of Flowery Branch, GA and Eric J. (Kelli) Sedwick of Dayton, OH; grandchildren Nicole, Madison, Danielle, Morgan and Jacob Sedwick.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville,  on Saturday 6-8 p.m. only and Sunday 6-8 p.m. only, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating.  Entombment at Fort Steuben.
Masonic services 7:30 p.m. Saturday
