John J. Garay, Jr.

John J. Garay, 61, of Wintersville died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at home of natural causes. He was born September 14, 1947 in Steubenville a son of the late John J. & Mary E. Cicconetti Garay.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Preceding John in death were his two children John & Marcy; brother Joseph Garay and sister Anita Ritchie.

Surviving are his daughter Brooke Garay; granddaughter Isabella; brother Eugene J. “Butch” Garay; sisters Dorothy (George) DiAlbert & Bette DeLelles; sister-in-law Tina Garay; brother-in-law John Ritchie; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Kurt H. Kemo officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery

Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Sunday
