Martha A. Loftus

Martha A. Loftus, 76, of Steubenville died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Trinity West ER.  She was born in Wheeling, WV on March 21, 1933 a daughter of the late Albert and Lilly Millesyn Prager.  Martha was a member of  St. Peters Catholic Church and was retired from Jefferson County Children’s Services.  Preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Loftus in 2002.  Martha is survived by sons; Jeff Loftus with whom she resided, John (Cathy) Loftus, both of Steubenville and James Loftus of Minerva, OH; daughter Debra (Kenny) Woodland of Nebraska; sister-in-law Mickey Smith of Wheeling; close friends Ruth Kessler and Melissa McMannis; sister Shirley Carpenter of Smithfield, OH; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church with Msgr. George Yontz as Celebrant.
