Mary E. Schaefer

Mary E. Schaefer, 96, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Valley Hospice North. She was born May 11, 1915 in Steubenville the daughter of the late Joseph C. & Anna Kessler Glaub. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ; Friendship Guild and a 1933 graduate of Steubenville High School. Mary worked in appliance sales for The Hub and Findt’s Appliance Store. Preceding Mary in death were her husband Julius A.E. Schaefer and brother Joseph L. Glaub.

Mary is survived by her sons Robert A. (Julie) Schaefer of Richardson, TX, William J. (Jeri) Schaefer of Wintersville & Stephen H. (Susie) Schaefer of Carmel, IN; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Sunday 1-4 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Dr. Vaughn Foster officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
