Lance Corporal Randy M. Heck
Lance Corporal Randy Michael Heck, 20, of Camp Lejeune, NC died  Sunday, March 28, 2010 while serving his second tour of duty  in Djibouti, South Africa.  He was born in Tulare, CA on May 24, 1989 the son of Eugene Heck of Steubenville, OH and Teresa A. Black of Amsterdam, OH. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Eugene Robinson.
Randy was Protestant by faith. He loved music, played the electric and base guitars. Randy also loved Harley motorcycles and spending time with his friends. In his  high school years years at Elk City, Oklahoma he played sports, before moving to the Cadiz area in 2005. He was a 2007 graduate of Harrison High School  where he excelled in track and football.  He enlisted in the US Marines during his senior year and served his first tour of duty in Iraq.
Survived by his wife Kara J. Bell Heck and daughter Cali of Steubenville; parents; step-father Everett Black of Amsterdam, OH; four sisters Misty, Vicki, Kateland and Haily Heck; brother Austin Heck; three step-sisters Victoria and Linda Black and Stella Rawson; grandparents Frankie and Sherry Owens Bouslaugh of Carrollton, OH and Dollie Spencer of South Dakota.
Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home, (the former McClave Funeral Home), 611 North Fourth, Steubenville on Wednesday 6-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.   Burial at Bloomingdale Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
