Robert L. Starliper

Robert L. “Bob” Starliper, 70, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Trinity West ER. He was born February 18, 1937 in Jefferson County a son of the late Elmer L. and Dorothy Kentosky Starliper. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service supervisor. Bob was a member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne during the Korean War. Preceding Bob in death was his wife Charlette Yoder Starliper in 1998. Bob was an avid supporter of Steubenville High School girls athletics. Surviving are his daughters Diana Starliper of Mingo Junction & Deborah (Paul) Firm of Steubenville; grandchildren Ashley & Matthew Firm and Gordana Vein; companion Linda Leicy Wells of Steubenville; brothers George (Jobita) Starliper of Mingo & Donald Starliper of Steubenville; nephew David (Martha) Starliper and their son Christopher of Richmond, OH; half sisters Cora Dorner of Chicago, IL, Charlotte Schroder of Warren, MI and Martha Campbell of Chicago, IL; half-brother Neil Drayer of Chicago, IL. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Robert Shearer officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
