Robert E. "Bob" Burnworth

Robert E. “Bob” Burnworth, 62, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at his residence of natural causes.  He was born September 4, 1947 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Earl S. and Bessie Legg Burnworth.  Bob was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.  He retired from the Weirton Steel Co. with over thirty years of service as a lab technician and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

Bob is survived by his children, John R. (Billie Jo) Stephen, Rick and Eric Burnworth, Cindi (Anthony) Gratchen, April (James) Richards and Marie Little; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Bonnie (Bubba) McFadden and Betty and a brother, Allan Burnworth.  Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home), 611 North 4th Street, Steubenville Friday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held Saturday 10 a.m. with Pastor Steve Modranski officiating.  Burial at Highland Memorial Park, Follansbee, WV where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors.
