Alice V. Carmichael

Alice V. Carmichael, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Carriage Inn of Cadiz.  She was born June 1, 1920 in Glen Dale, WV a daughter of the late R. D. and Roxie Burkhart Truman.  She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and attended First Baptist Church of Steubenville.   Alice was preceded in death by her husband Aldred R. Carmichael; three sisters Eileen Schleicher, Ruth Merinar and Helen Matthews and brother Henry Truman.  Surviving are three daughters Helen Cowser of Steubenville, OH, Shirley (Robert) Shipman of Prosperity, PA and Donna (Fred) Steitz of Dayton, OH; two sons Gary R. Carmichael of San Antonio, FL and Ronald Carmichael of Tucson, AZ; sister Elizabeth Stankus of Glen Dale, WV; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held Monday 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Danielson officiating.   Entombment at Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be directed to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
