Catherine M. Evans

Catherine McKee Evans, 94, of Steubenville, OH died Monday, November 8, 2010 at Sienna Woods, Wintersville, OH.  She was born September 2, 1916 in Laurens, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James D. Alma Wright McKee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady H. Evans; a son, Grady Jr.;and three sisters, one brother and several nieces and nephews in South Carolina and New York.  Surviving are one son, Dr. David W. ( Polly) Evans of Woodsfield, Ohio; one daughter, Carol E. ( Dale) Witt of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jason D. Witt and Shannon Evans ( Branndon ) Kelley of Columbus, Ohio and one great-grandson, Jackson D. Kelley. She was a member of the former La Belle View United Methodist Church and a current member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church. She was the assistant manager of Evans Properties for over 30 years. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wintersville United Methodist Church.
