Frank J. Snider, Jr.

Frank J. Snider Jr., 85, of Wintersville, Ohio, formerly of Ellwood City, PA, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Trinity West  ER, Steubenville, Ohio.  He was born September 30, 1922 in Steubenville, the son of the late Frank J. Snider Sr. and Clara Ann Merritt Snider Konic.  Preceded in death by a daughter, Clara Bissell; two sisters, Ann Miklasz and Adeline Kramarich; granddaughter, Yvonne Baney; step-father, John Konic.

Frank retired from Ellwood City Forge as a machinist and was Presbyterian by faith; member of  Ellwood VFW and an avid musician; WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and chauffeured Winston Churchill during a period of the war.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Bubb Snider; children, Mary (Drew) Ohorodnyk of New Brighton, PA, Sharon (Roger) Baney, Kathy (Bruce) Myers, Pam (Ed) Mangerie all of Ellwood City, PA, Frank J. Snider and Aaron M. Snider both of Beaver Falls, PA, Caroline McGarrity and Bethany (Glen) Hickman both of Steubenville, OH, and Ruth (Tom) Hightower of Alabama; son-in-law, Gary Bissell of Ellwood City, PA; 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

At the request of the family visitation and services will be private.
