



Henry A. “Hank” Diekmann, 72, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born December 7, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Carl and Stella Nelson Diekmann. Preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Dick” Diekmann. Hank retired from Ohio Edison Co. as a dragline operator and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janice S. Kovach Diekmann at home; son, Todd (Brandi) Diekmann of Tiro, Ohio; daughter, Teresa Diekmann and her companion Tim Dotson of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, John E. “Jack” Diekmann of Toronto, Ohio; sisters, Frieda Brownlee of Bloomingdale, OH, Elanor (Harry) Beebe of Wintersville, OH, Carroll (Albert) Mellendorf of Richmond, OH and Ellen (Douglas) Cameron of Tacoma, WA; granddaughter, Caelinn Diekmann.
Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, OH on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating.
