Marjorie P. Swisher

Marjorie P. Swisher, 79, of Bellaire, Ohio formerly of Mingo Junction died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Belmont Community Hospital ER, Bellaire, OH. She was born May 31, 1929 in Shadyside, OH a daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie E. Jones Peck.  Preceding Marjorie in death were her husband Wilbert L. Swisher; son James W. Swisher and daughter Judith A. Britton.  Marjorie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bellaire, a former member of First United Methodist Church in Mingo Junction and a former member of Mingo’s Jr/Sr Women’s Club.  She was a former manager at the House of Fabric in Steubenville.  Marjorie is survived by her son Gary (Nadya) Swisher of Canonsburg, PA; daughter Susan (Tommy) Akin of Cumming, GA; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister Alice May Chirpas of Bellaire, OH; brother David P. Peck of Palm Harbor, FL and nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a service will be held Thursday 10 a.m. Burial at Oakland Cemetery.
