Spiro G. Maragos

Spiro Gus Maragos, 73, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, December 21, 2009 at Trinity West. He was born June 28, 1936 in Toronto, Ohio a son of the late Gust & Rose Rovnak Maragos. He  retired from Timet as a foreman after 35 years of service. Preceding Spiro in death were his son John Ray Maragos; two brothers Teddy & George Maragos and sister Angeline Spanoudakis.

Spiro is survived by his wife of 48 years Evelyn P. Fluharty Maragos; daughters Pamela Kay (companion Ronnie Miller) Maragos, Amy E. (John Paul) Neidengard and Rachael Brown; four grandchildren Brian (Alicia), Nicole, Johnny & Hannah; three step grandchildren Philip, Tony & Zach; four great grandchildren Tae-Lor, Kylee, Zoey & Kay Lee; five brothers Harry  (Irene), Theodore (Charlene), George (Barbara Lee), Marco (Fran) & Nick (Gerri) Maragos; sister Lil (Costa) Safos; sister-in-law Minnie Maragos; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with  Rev. William Hibbs and Rev. David Sperry co-officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
