Ross A. Penman, 55, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at UPMC-Mercy. He was born July 16, 1964 in Steubenville, Ohio. Ross was a member of the Mingo High School Class of 1982 and proudly served on the USS Sierra in the United States Navy. He was active in the community as President of the Utility Workers Union of America 102, Treasurer of the Brilliant Boat Club and active member of the American Legion Post 33. He worked many years as a craneman/welder for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation and as a Maintenance Crew leader with First Energy.
Preceding Ross in death was his father Thomas R. Penman.
Ross is survived by his mother Barbara A. Durham Penman; son Christopher Penman and daughter Brittany Penman; brother Scott (Tammy) Penman; and sister Laurie (John) Littlejohn.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 4-7 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating.
