James M. Dowdell, 82, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on April 27, 2022 at Country Club Manor. James was born on December 5, 1939 in Adena, Ohio, a son of the late James E. & Amy Swicker Dowdell. He served in the 52nd Infantry 1st Armored Division of the U.S. Army and later retired as a laborer from Follansbee Steel.

James loved gardening and was always tinkering with something which earned him the nickname, “Mr. Fix-it.”

James was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila D. Banks Dowdell. He is survived by two sons James H. Dowdell and Jason (Pamela) Dowdell.
